Cresskill Fire Department Hiring Announcement

Borough of Cresskill will be accepting applications for the position of Career Firefighter/EMT. Initial applications can be picked up in person on July 13, 2026, at Fire Headquarters located at 51 Madison Avenue Cresskill, NJ 07626 beginning at 8:00AM. All applications must be returned within 5 business days, July 17, 2026, at 4:00PM being the deadline. All requirements must be met at the time of application for this position. All applications must be accompanied by all certifications possessed at time of application pertaining to this position. The Borough of Cresskill is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements:
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old and not older than 35 years old at time of announcement (In determining maximum age eligibility of veterans, time spent in active military service during periods specified in the Department of Personnel laws and rules will be deducted from the attained age)
• Applicant must be a high school/vocational high school graduate or possess an approved high school equivalency certificate
• Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
• Applicant must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• Applicant must possess a valid New Jersey Firefighter I and Firefighter II Certification
• Applicant must possess a valid NJ or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Certification
• Applicant must possess a valid CPR Certification from the American Heart Association
• Applicant must have the ability to pass all pre-employment screenings prior to appointment

Hiring will be pursuant to: Cresskill Borough Code, Chapter 30, § 30-3(F), Firefighter – General Qualifications for Membership in the Paid Division.
