CRESSKILL HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM
The Cresskill Housing Rehabilitation Program (CHRP) assists lower income Borough homeowners in making basic repairs to their homes. If you qualify, you can borrow up to $20,000 from the program at 0% interest. There are no monthly payments. The loan is repaid only when the house is sold or title transferred and the funds repaid are then used to help another Borough family. The application can be found in the Forms Center of this website under Building Dept.
REMINDERS
Tuesday, May 15th is the last day to register to vote in the June Primary Election.
Tuesday, May 29th is the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot for the June Primary by mail.
(Application must be received by the County Clerk's office by May 29th).
PRIMARY ELECTION - TUESDAY, JUNE 5TH - POLLS OPEN 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
All dogs and cats must be licensed each year. Licenses are to be acquired by February 27th. Required proof of rabies must be valid through December 31, 2012 and proof of neutering is needed. Late licensing after February is subject to a late fee of $10 plus the cost of the license; the late fee increases to $25 after April 2nd and a summons will also be issued. Free rabies inoculations are offered at the Cresskill Animal Hospital.
Homeowners with an alarm system are required to register with the Borough. The yearly fee of $30 is due no later than March 1st. Alarms not registered and responded to by the Police may result in a penalty.
