CRESSKILL HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM
The Cresskill Housing Rehabilitation Program (CHRP) assists lower income Borough homeowners in making basic repairs to their homes. If you qualify, you can borrow up to $20,000 from the program at 0% interest. There are no monthly payments. The loan is repaid only when the house is sold or title transferred and the funds repaid are then used to help another Borough family. The application can be found in the Forms Center of this website under Building Dept.
Tuesday, October 18th is the last day to register to vote in the November General Election.
Tuesday, November 1st is the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot for the General Election by mail.
(Application must be received at the County Clerk's office by November 1st).
Monday, November 7th is the last day to apply in person at the County Clerk's Office for a Vote by Mail Ballot for the November General Election by 3:00 pm
GENERAL ELECTION - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH - POLLS OPEN 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
All dogs and cats must be licensed each year. Licenses are to be acquired by February 29th. Required proof of rabies must be valid through November 1, 2016 and proof of neutering is needed. Late licensing after February 29th is subject to a late fee of $10 plus the cost of the license. A summons will be issued after March 14th. Free rabies inoculations are offered at the Cresskill Animal Hospital.
Homeowners with an alarm system are required to register with the Borough. The yearly fee of $30 is due no later than February 12th. Alarms not registered and responded to by the Police may result in a penalty.
